I am a freelance writer and journalist specialising in wine, travel and business. I was born in the UK and read Modern Languages at Oxford University, before embarking on an international journalism career during which I have lived in London, Paris, Granada, Dublin, Buenos Aires and Melbourne.
My career to date has spanned print, web and broadcast media, with my stint as a producer at Sky News in London bringing together all these disciplines as a complete multimedia producer in a fast-moving, breaking news environment.
Since returning to Australia, I have decided to narrow my focus to wine and travel. I write for the Guardian, Business Spectator and Winetitles magazines and provide copywriting services for some of Australia’s best-known wine producers, liquor retailers and restaurants. I hold an Advanced certificate from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust.
I live on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula with my wife, photographer Elizabeth Clancy, and our three children.
